Crypto Design Challenge Installation
Installation Escape Surveillance Nowadays we get flooded with privacy issues and motivations for being aware of our privacy, but why actually? My festival “Go a little dark” has the aim to change the negative image of the Deep Web and the prevailing “I’ve got nothing to hide” mentality of current society. As part of my festival I would kindly like to introduce the installation “Escape Surveillance”. The aim of this installation is to relieve the visitor of the mass surveillance. To gain the full experience, the visitor has to hand in all gadgets and shoes at the entrance. Thereafter he or she has the opportunity to individually enter the installation to experience a complete surrealistic world which suggests there is a whole private second world, only he or she knows of. Elements such as sound, wind, smell of fresh grass and the enchanting view emphasize the time to relax and disconnect. nowadays it’s considered a luxury to be offline and out of sight of the internet of things. The foremost aspect is that the installation will be placed in the center of the city. Exactly the location where the relevance and need to relax and disconnect from digital network is most necessary.
